3-piece Transmission is  for quick removal and installation of your diff.  No need to remove the gear plate, spur assembly , brakes, trans plate, transmission  rear shock towers, rear shock brace, upper A-arms and in most cases you don't have to remove the pipe.Just  remove the rear bulkhead and swap out  the diff.
